The Dali Museum

Our program sent us to Costa Brava which is an area of Spains North Coast (I think I said South in my last post). We woke up at 8am to catch the bus to Coast Brava and it was pouring. Thunder and lighting was not a god sign as we headed to the coast hoping for clear skies and warm temperatures. Our first stop was the Dali Museum. I didn't know alot about the artist Dali but was amazed at the complexity of his pieces and how groundbreaking his art was. He spent his life in Spain, France and some time in US. After the museum we took a walk near his beach house where he spent the rest of his days living.

A tower connected to the museum. Dali loved the shape of eggs, because it was the begining of life and all creatures have come from eggs.

On the outside of the museum was another form he liked. Our tour guide says these forms are a representation of bread. And building this museum he would bring bread (money) into the area and earn him more bread.

Strategically placed. haha

Bread on top of suit of armor, another reference to bread.
