Yesterday we took the metro to the beach. Considering it was Saturday it was very crowded. Clothing is optional, and it is not frowned upon if you walk around naked. While we kept our suits on, many Spaniards felt comfortable tanning buff. We dipped in the Mediterranean and learned that there are not only jelly fish that can sting you but eel that bite. Thankfully no encounters with them yet. After the beach we were very hungry and stopped at a restaurant for tapas (small food plates) and sangria. We ate fried potatoes with a tomato sauce, small chorizo sausages (exactly like lil' smokies) and fried shrimp. The sangria was refreshing and a little strong, we got very tired on the way back to the metro. Ha the perfect time for a siesta. We took an unusually long siesta and didn't get out of bed until this morning.
Woke up this morning and walked to a bakery that makes the best croissants with cheese and ham (our new favorite treat) and they are very cheap. At four pm we met our RA (Residential Assistant) for a tour of the Gaudi Museum. Franc (the RA) has a Doctorate in architecture so he was very informative in the process Gaudi went through in building his structures. While my opinion of Gaudi is that his work is very "gaudy," he uses nature and religion in a lot of his buildings. After the museum we walked to eat churros y chocolate. These fired pieces of dough were very filling and extremely rich when dipped into molten chocolate.
Look! The Gaudi museum.

Adios,
